Sebastian “Bash” Page is a retired engineer living in the rural community of Black River, Missouri. One balmy afternoon in mid-winter, while joined by girlfriend, Lacey, he meets up with long time friend, Matty, along with former girlfriend, Mena, and her new fiancée to learn about a former co-worker who went missing.

After the awkward reunion between former lovers Bash and Mena, Lacey requests he participate in a strange ritual only she understands of its true purpose. After obliging her request, his life and the lives of those around him begin to unravel to the point where they begin to question the disappearance of their former coworker and the meaning behind Lacey’s intentions.

SUBCUTANEOUS explores themes of bodily autonomy, paranoia, and the fragile nature of reality through the lens of intimate horror.
